Dr. Smith grew up in Decatur, Texas. She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a B.S. in Biology. She attended the University if Houston College of Optometry where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society. She is a member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Smith lives in Lubbock with her husband, Jonathan, and two sons, Jaron and Aaden.

Karen Hashmi, O.D.

Dr. Hashmi graduated from West Texas A&M University Cum Laude with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston. Dr. Hashmi is an active Alumni of the Delta Zeta Sorority and a member of South Plains Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas and is currently engaged to be married.

LAB MANAGER Martha has been with Ginter Eyecare since 1999. She is the lab manager and is currently studying for her national optician certification. Martha has nine years of optical experience and is knowledgable in the area of contact lenses. She will be glad to answer your questions and help you with all of your optical needs.
